Bleeding Brake System: Notes

NOTE: Use only DOT 3 brake fluid from a sealed container.

Before servicing system, place rear displacement cylinder pistons in upper position. To position pistons, connect Tech 1 Scan Tester (94-00101-A), and enter Manual Control function. Ensure enable relay is on. Apply front and rear motor. Pistons should return to upper position.

If Tech 1 Scan Tester is not available, bleed front brakes only. Ensure brakes are okay. Drive vehicle at least 4 MPH to initialize ABS system. ABS initialization will return rear displacement cylinder piston to upper position. The brake system is now ready for service.
