Transmitter/Module Isolation Test

  1. Connect Tech 1 scan tool to ALDL Connector. Set Tech 1 to monitor signals received by Remote Accessory Control (RAC) module. Press any transmitter button. If Tech 1 indicates a signal is received by RAC module, check RAC module connector for good terminal contact. If terminal contact is okay, replace RAC module. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Program new RAC. See PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE.
  2. If Tech 1 does not indicate a signal is received by RAC module, repeat test using another transmitter. If Tech 1 indicates a signal is received by RAC module, replace suspect transmitter. If Tech 1 does not indicate a signal is received by RAC module, check RAC module connector for good terminal contact. If terminal contact is okay, replace RAC module. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Program new RAC. See PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE.
