Test B: Heated Seat Control Module Measurements Incorrect

  1. Reconnect the suspected Heated Seat Control Module Connector.
  2. Disconnect the suspected Heated Seat Switch Connector.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to RUN position.
  4. Put the Head Park Light Switch in PARK position.
  5. Measure Heated Seat Switch Connector terminal No. 3 for battery voltage to ground (1). If there is no battery voltage, check the BRN (1463) wire for an open or short to ground. See Fig 1 .

  6. Measure Heated Seat Switch Connector terminal No. 2 for battery voltage to ground (2). If there is no battery voltage, check the GRY (1464) wire for an open or short to ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  7. Measure Heated Seat Switch Connector terminal No. 5 for battery voltage to ground (3). If there is no battery voltage, check the DK BLU (1461) wire for an open or short to ground.
  8. Measure between Heated Seat Switch Connector terminals No. 5 and 7 for battery voltage (4). If there is no battery voltage, repair the open in the BLK (152 or 154) wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  9. Measure Heated Seat Switch Connector terminal No. 6 for battery voltage to ground (5). If there is no battery voltage, check the BLK (1460) wire for an open or short to ground.
  10. Turn the ignition switch to OFF position.
  11. Disconnect the suspect Heated Seat Control Module Connector C1.
  12. Measure Heated Seat Switch Connector terminal No. 2 for infinite ohms to ground (6). See Fig 2 . If infinite ohms are not found, repair the short to ground in the GRY (1464) wire.

  13. Measure between Heated Seat Switch Connector terminal No. 2 and Heated Seat Control Module Connector C1 terminal H for less than 5 ohms (7). If there is not less than 5 ohms, repair the open in the GRY (1464) wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  14. Measure Heated Seat Switch Connector terminal No. 6 for infinite ohms to ground (8). If there is not infinite ohms to ground, repair the short to ground in the BLK (1460) wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  15. Measure between Heated Seat Switch Connector terminal No. 6 and Heated Seat Control Module Connector C1 terminal C for less than 5 ohms (9). If there is not less than 5 ohms, repair the open in the BLK (1460) wire. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
