System Selection

  1. After all trouble codes have been displayed (see DISPLAYING TROUBLE CODES), service mode system can be directed to perform specific system diagnostic tests. Following trouble code display, first system available for testing will automatically be displayed. For example: ECM? should now be present on display.
  2. To select desired system (ECM, BCM, IPC or SIR), advance and stop DIC display as follows:
    • On non-CRT equipped vehicles, depressing FAN (DOWN) button on ECCP will cycle system selection list. When desired diagnostic system is displayed, depress FAN (UP) button on ECCP and displayed system will be selected for testing.
    • On CRT equipped vehicles, touching NO key on CRT monitor panel will cycle system selection list. When desired diagnostic system is displayed on DIC display panel, touch YES key on CRT monitor panel and displayed system will be selected for testing. See Figure .
NOTE: To cancel a system selection and activate a repeat of system selection process, depress OFF button on ECCP of non-CRT equipped vehicles or touch LEVL key on CRT monitor panel on CRT equipped vehicles.
