Test No. 5, Mirror Control Isolation Test
- Turn ignition off. Connect jumper wire between memory seat/memory mirror diagnostic connector and ground. One beep should be heard. If one beep is heard, go to next step. If beep is not heard, check wiring for open or poor ground connection. Also check for poor connection at memory seat/memory mirror control module connector C2 terminal D12 (Yellow/Black wire).
- Operate suspect power mirror switch. Memory seat/memory mirror control module should beep once when each mirror position is activated. If both mirrors are inoperative in left/right or up/down modes, go to step 4). If both mirrors are not inoperative in left/right or up/down modes, go to next step.
- Operate suspect mirror in each direction. If one beep is heard each time mirror switch is activated, go to appropriate TEST NO. 7, MIRROR MOTOR INPUT TEST. If one beep is not heard each time mirror switch is activated, go to appropriate TEST NO. 6, MIRROR CONTROL INPUT TEST.
- Operate suspect mirror in each direction. If one beep is heard each time mirror switch is activated, check for poor connections at memory seat/memory mirror control module. If connections are okay, replace memory seat/memory mirror control module. If one beep is not heard each time mirror switch is activated, go to appropriate TEST NO. 6, MIRROR CONTROL INPUT TEST.
