Locks Operate From Only One Switch

  1. Using ohmmeter, backprobe inoperative door lock switch between terminal "B" (Black wire) and ground. If measurement is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If measurement is greater than 5 ohms, check for open circuit in Black ground wire.
  2. Backprobe ohmmeter between inoperative door lock switch connector terminal "C" (Red/Black wire) and ground, and between terminal "A" (Orange/Black wire) and ground. Move door lock switch to lock for terminal "C" and unlock for terminal "A".
  3. If measurement is less than 5 ohms, repair open circuit in Orange/Black or Red/Black wire at door lock switch. If measurement is greater than 5 ohms, check for poor connection at door lock switch. If connection is okay, replace switch.
