Test No. 1, Heated Seat Control Module Test
- Disconnect inoperative heated seat control module connector C1. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Turn ignition on. Using voltmeter, check voltage between heated seat control module connector C1 harness terminal "A" (Pink wire) and ground. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open in Pink wire between heated seat control module and fuse block.
- Check voltage between heated seat control module connector C1 harness terminal "B" (Orange wire) and ground. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open in Orange wire between heated seat control module and fuse block.
- Check voltage between heated seat control module connector C1 harness terminal "B" (Orange wire) and "E" (Black wire). If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open in Black wire between heated seat control module and ground.
- Turn ignition off. Turn heated seat switch to low position. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between heated seat control module connector C1 harness terminal "H" (Gray wire) and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not less than 5 ohms, check for open in Gray wire or Black ground wires. If circuits are okay, replace heated seat switch.
- Leave heated seat switch in low position. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between heated seat control module connector C1 harness terminal "C" (Purple wire) and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to TEST NO. 2, HEATER ELEMENT ISOLATION TEST. If resistance is not less than 5 ohms, check for open in Purple wire or Black ground wires. If circuits are okay, replace heated seat switch.
