Test No. 8, Short Isolation Test

  1. Remove FUSE 6A (15-amp). Connect test light across FUSE 6A terminals. Test light should not glow. Operate each seat and mirror switch in all directions. If test light glows in one or more positions, go to next step. If test light does not glow in one or more positions, perform system check. See MEMORY SEAT/MEMORY MIRROR SYSTEM CHECK.
  2. Disconnect memory seat/memory mirror control module connector C2. Operate switch(es) in same positions that caused test light to glow in previous step. If test light glows, check for short to ground in wiring for suspect switch. If circuits are okay, replace switch. If test light does not glow, replace memory seat/memory mirror control module.
