Test No. 9, Seat Memory Recall Isolation Test
- Turn ignition off. Connect jumper wire between memory seat/memory mirror diagnostic connector (located under driver's seat) and ground. One beep should be heard. If one beep is heard, go to next step. If beep is not heard, check wiring for open or poor ground connection. Also check for poor connection at memory seat/memory mirror control module connector C2 terminal D12 (Yellow/Black wire).
- Disconnect jumper wire, and reconnect jumper wire within 5 seconds. Two beeps should be heard. Adjust inoperative seat from stop to stop in each direction. If memory seat/memory mirror control module beeps twice a second while seat is adjusted in any direction, go to TEST NO. 11, SEAT SENSOR RETURN TEST. If memory seat/memory mirror control module does not beep as twice a second while seat is adjusted, go to next step.
- If memory seat/memory mirror control module beeps once when seat passes a certain point, replace seat motor transmission cable at suspect seat. See HORIZONTAL & VERTICAL DRIVE CABLES under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If memory seat/memory mirror control module does not beep once when seat passes a certain point, system is operating properly. Check connections at suspect power seat.
