Parallel Parking Assist Mode Inoperative

NOTE: After repair or component replacement is completed, go to appropriate MEMORY SYSTEM CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING  to verify system is functioning properly.
  1. Perform POWER MIRROR MEMORY SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. Go to next step.
  2. Disconnect Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch connector. Connect fused jumper wire between PNP switch harness connector terminals "B" (Pink wire) and "F" (Light Green wire). Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If right mirror moves down, go to step 5). If right mirror does not move down, go to next step.
  3. Remove fused jumper wire. Disconnect memory seat/mirror module Blue, 32-pin connector C1. Using DVOM, check resistance between PNP switch harness connector terminal "F" (Light Green wire) and memory seat/mirror module harness connector C1, terminal D13 (Light Green wire). See Figure . If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, go to step 6).
  4. Replace memory seat/mirror module. See MEMORY SEAT/MIRROR MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  5. Replace PNP switch.
  6. Repair open in Light Green wire between PNP switch and memory seat/mirror module connector.
