Body Control Module: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: When the Body Control Module (BCM) is replaced you must perform new (BCM) setup.

1. Remove the battery ground (negative) cable.
2. Remove the left instrument panel insulator.
3. Disconnect the (BCM) electrical connectors.
4. Remove the (BCM) by pressing the retaining tab in and sliding the (BCM) down out of the mounting bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the (BCM) by sliding it up into the mounting bracket until it stops (insure that the retaining tab will stop the (BCM) from sliding down and out of the mounting bracket).
2. Connect the (BCM) electrical connectors.
3. Install the left instrument panel insulator.
4. Install the battery ground (negative) cable.
5. Perform new (BCM) setup.
