Indirect Programming

1. Connect scan tool to the vehicle Data Link Connector (DLC).

2. Turn the ignition switch on.

3. Using scan tool, select VEHICLE YEAR and TYPE.

4. Select REQUEST INFORMATION soft key.

5. Disconnect scan tool from the vehicle.

6. Connect scan tool to terminal.

7. Select SERVICE PROGRAMMING SYSTEM from the Techline Navigator.

8. Select SPS/EEPROM on the Diagnostic Menu.

9. Select NEW VEHICLE.

10. Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) will be read. If VIN cannot be read, the VIN will need to be entered manually.

11. Select SPECIAL.

12. Select PROGRAM BY VCI.

13. Enter 1008 for VCI number.

14. Select DONE.

15. Summary of selected calibrations is displayed with BCM calibrations. Make sure to select correct calibration based on vehicle features.

16. Select PROGRAM.

17. Select YES to confirm programming. Calibration is downloaded to the scan tool.

18. Connect scan tool to the vehicle DLC.

19. Select VEHICLE YEAR and TYPE.

20. After the scan tool displays VIN and end model part number, select PROGRAM soft key to setup/program the BCM.
