Without Scan Tool

  1. Sit in driver's seat and remove key from ignition switch. Close all doors. Press and hold driver's door lock switch in unlock position. While holding switch, insert key into ignition switch and remove 2 times. DO NOT rotate ignition switch. DO NOT release door lock switch.
  2. Insert ignition key into ignition switch a third time and leave in. DO NOT rotate ignition switch. Ignition switch MUST remain in LOCK position for remainder of test. Release door lock switch. 3 chimes will be heard. Chime indicates transmitter programming is active.
  3. Press and hold lock and unlock buttons on transmitter for 12 seconds. 2 chimes will be heard. Chime indicates transmitter has been programmed successfully.
  4. Repeat previous step for up to 4 transmitters. Exit procedure by removing ignition key from ignition switch lock cylinder.
