Forward Servo: Removal
- Install the engine support fixture. See appropriate REMOVAL & INSTALLATION article. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the power steering rack and pinion and support the power steering rack and pinion from the exhaust pipe. See appropriate POWER RACK & PINION article in STEERING. Remove the transaxle mount lower nuts.
- Remove the engine mount lower nuts. Remove the power steering cooler pipe from the right side of the frame. Support the rear of the frame with a jackstand. Loosen the rear frame bolts.
- Adjust the jackstand to lower the rear of the frame. Position a drain pan under the forward servo cover. Remove the servo cover bolts. See Fig 1
. Remove the cover, O-ring, piston assembly and spring.
