Shift Cable: Removal
- Remove the throttle body air inlet duct. Remove the shift cable from the wiring harness clip or strap. Remove the shift cable from the PNP switch. See Fig 1
.
- Remove the shift cable from the shift cable bracket. See Fig 2
. Remove the front floor console. See appropriate SHIFT INTERLOCK SYSTEMS article in AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS.
- Pull the carpet back to expose the shift cable. Remove the shift cable retaining clip from the console shift control. See Fig 3
.
- Remove the shift cable from the console shift control.
- Remove the automatic transaxle range selector cable through the hole in the cowl. See Fig 4
. Remove the automatic transaxle range selector cable from the PNP switch.
