Programming the BCM

IMPORTANT: After the procedure is completed, the personalization settings of the BCM are set to a default setting. Inform the customer that the personalization must be set again.

Perform the following steps:

  1. Ensure that the following conditions exist:
    • The battery is fully charged.
    • The ignition is On with the engine Off.
    • All accessories are turned off.
    • All modules and devices are connected and functioning properly before programming.
  2. Follow the SPS instructions on the Techline Terminal and scan tool to program the BCM.
  3. If the BCM fails to accept the program, follow these steps:
    • Inspect all BCM connections.
    • Verify that SPS Techline Terminal and scan tool have the latest software version.
