Installation Procedure
IMPORTANT:
The electrical contact on the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly must rest on the turn signal cancel cam assembly.
- Install the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly.NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
- Secure by using 2 pan head tapping screws.
Tighten
- Tighten the screw on the top of the column to 3 N.m (27 lb in).
- Tighten the screw in the front to 7 N.m (62 lb in).
- Connect the connectors to the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly.
- Install the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to STEERING COLUMN TRIM COVERS REPLACEMENT .
- Enable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in Air Bag Restraint Systems.
