Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2005 Isuzu Ascender, 2005 GMC Envoy XUV, 2005 GMC Envoy XL, 2005 GMC Envoy, and 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Lubricate the new lower injector O-ring seals with clean engine oil.
- Install the new O-ring seals on the spray tip end of each injector.
- Install the fuel rail assembly (1).
- Apply a 5 mm (0.2 in) band of threadlock GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or equivalent, to the threads of the fuel rail bolts (2).
Install the fuel rail attaching bolts (2).
Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Install the fuel injector harness in-line connector (3) to the rocker cover.
- Connect the fuel injector harness in-line connector (3) to the engine wire harness.
- Connect the fuel feed pipe (3) to the fuel rail (2). Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Metal Collar) .
- Connect the fuel injector electrical connectors.
- Install the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
- Inspect for leaks.
- Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF for 2 seconds.
- Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
- Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
- Inspect for fuel leaks.
