NOTE:
The Mitsubishi ECI system requires a special tester (Mitsubishi ECI Checker - MD998406) to be fully diagnosed. However, some checks of individual components may be made using regular shop test equipment. Components covered in this article pertain only to fuel portion of system. For more complete testing of ECI system, refer to appropriate Computerized Engine Controls article in Computer Controls section.
