Cruise Control Switch

  1. Disconnect 4-wire connector at steering column. Connect a 12-volt positive source to Yellow wire terminal in speed control harness connector (male). Attach one lead of test light to ground and the other lead to Brown/Red terminal. Light should glow and then go out when the speed set button is depressed.
  2. Move test light lead to Dark Blue/White wire terminal. Light should glow with switch in "ON" position. Light should go out when switch is moved to "OFF" position. With switch in "ON" position, move test light lead to White/Red wire terminal.
  3. Light should glow when speed set button is depressed or switch is moved to "RESUME" position. If switch does not operate properly in all tests, switch is defective.
