Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Throttle Position Sensor (TSP) replacement:





1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove air cleaner.
2. Disconnect three-way connector at throttle position sensor (TPS), then remove TPS to throttle body mounting screws.
3. Lift TPS from throttle shaft, then remove O-ring.
4. Reverse procedure to install. Install new O-ring and torque TPS to throttle body mounting screw to 20 inch lbs.
