All Models

  1. Start and warm engine to normal operating temperature. Ensure front wheels are in straight-ahead position, transaxle is in Neutral, and all accessories and cooling fan are off.
  2. At high altitudes (over 3900 feet), disconnect and plug White striped (Yellow on 1.5L Colt) vacuum hose from distributor vacuum diaphragm. Start engine and check base ignition timing.
  3. If incorrect, loosen distributor nut and adjust ignition timing. At high altitudes, reconnect White (Yellow) striped vacuum hose. Start engine and check curb ignition timing.
