Output Signal Chart-Step 1
- Turn ignition off and disconnect negative battery cable. Remove large and small harness connectors from ECU. ECU is located under driver's seat.
- Turn ignition switch to "LOCK" position. On ECI Checker (MD998451 ), set check switch to "OFF" position and select switch to "A" position.
- Connect White connectors (labeled "CHECKER") of Harness Connector (MD998452 ) to ECI checker. Connect harness connector to ECU and harness connectors. See Fig 1 .
- Perform checks according to SYSTEM OUTPUT SIGNAL CHART-STEP 1. See Figure . If checker shows any deviation from specification, check sensor and related electrical wiring. Repair or replace as necessary. After repair, recheck with ECI checker to ensure repair has corrected problem.
