Conquest & STARION: Modulator

  1. To overhaul modulator, refer to Fig 1 . Ensure overhaul is completed in a clean working area. Remove hydraulic cylinder from modulator. Remove plunger and dust seal. Remove snap ring and seal cup.
  2. While holding portion painted Black, remove bleeder cap and "O" ring. Remove bushing and choke valve piston. Remove "O" ring from choke valve piston. Check all parts for wear or damage.
  3. To reassemble, reverse disassembly procedure. When installing valve cap, gap between cap and body should be .02-.04" (.5-1.0 mm). See Fig 2 . Coat all parts with Mopar Brake Fluid (2933249) before installing.
