Test 14B - Bus Bias Level Too High On Bus
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect body controller Blue connector. Body controller is located under left side of instrument panel. Check connector, and clean or repair connector as necessary. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance between terminals No. 7 and 20 at body controller.
- If resistance is not 100-140 ohms, replace body controller. Perform VERIFICATION TEST . If resistance is 100-140 ohms, check resistance at White/Black wire between terminal No. 6 at CCD bus diagnostic connector and terminal No. 20 at body controller Blue connector. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open White/Black wire. Perform VERIFICATION TEST . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step.
- Disconnect Single Board Engine Controller (SBEC) connector. Check connector condition and clean or repair connector as necessary. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance between terminals No. 26 and 46 at SBEC. If resistance is not 100-140 ohms, replace SBEC. Perform VERIFICATION TEST .
- If resistance is 100-140 ohms, check resistance at White/Black wire between terminal No. 6 at CCD bus diagnostic connector and terminal No. 46 at SBEC connector. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open White/Black wire. Perform VERIFICATION TEST . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, perform TEST 20A .
