With Remote Coil

1982-86 FIRENZA, Skyhawk, Sunbird & 2000 with 1.8L OHC Engine

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove spark plug wires and ignition coil.
3. Disconnect distributor wiring.
4. Remove two nuts securing distributor body to cylinder head and remove distributor.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Adjust ignition timing to specifications in Tune Up Section. Torque nuts 9-15 ft. lbs. No gear is used to drive the distributor. A lug at the distributor base engages a slot on camshaft end.
