Code 32, EGR System Error

Code 32 represents an EGR flow test error. During a closed throttle coastdown, ECM will cycle 3 internal EGR valve solenoids on and off individually while monitoring for changes in engine RPM and oxygen sensor activity.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.

This test determine if there is power to the EGR valve.
This test will determine if there is an open circuit in the EGR wiring or if the EGR valve is at fault.
This test will determine if there is a short to ground in any circuit going to the EGR valve or if the ECM is faulty.
