Pick-Up Coil: Installation

  1. Clean distributor base and module. Apply silicone lubricant to mounting surfaces of distributor and module. See Fig 1 . Install module on distributor and connect module connectors.
  2. Install pick-up coil assembly and retainer plate. Align marks made during removal, and assemble shaft, coupler and roll pin. Install roll pin retaining spring. Spin shaft to check clearance. Adjust pick-up coil (if necessary). Install rotor and distributor cap. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
