Throttle Body Assembly: Installation
- Install new base gasket. See Fig 1
. Install throttle body assembly. Tighten mounting bolts to 12 ft. lbs. (16 N.m). Install new "O" rings onto fuel line nuts. Install fuel inlet and outlet nuts, and hand tighten to 20 ft. lbs. (27 N.m). Prevent nuts from turning with a back-up wrench.
- Reconnect vacuum hoses. Install throttle linkage and control cables. Connect wiring to fuel metering components. Ensure accelerator pedal moves freely. With engine off, check full throttle position and return. Turn ignition on and check for fuel leaks. Start engine and recheck for fuel and vacuum leaks.
