Throttle Body Assembly: Removal

  1. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE  under FUEL SYSTEM. Unplug connectors from idle air control valve, TPS, and fuel injector. Remove grommet and wiring from fuel meter assembly.
  2. Remove throttle linkage, return spring(s), transmission control cable, and cruise control cable (if applicable). Disconnect vacuum hoses. Mark hoses for reassembly reference.
  3. Remove inlet and outlet fuel line nuts. Remove throttle body mounting bolts. Remove throttle body assembly from intake manifold. See Figure .
