Steering Column: Overhaul: Notes
CAUTION:
DO NOT strike steering shaft with hammer to remove steering
wheel. Hammering could loosen the plastic injections
maintaining column rigidity.
NOTE:
Use illustrations for exploded view of steering column
assembly. See Figure
or Figure. Perform
overhaul procedure with
steering column removed from vehicle, and with steering
wheel, combination switch and turn signal switch removed
from column.
