- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect BCM 8-pin connector C1. Using a test light, backprobe between BCM harness connector C1 terminal "G" (Orange wire) and ground. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 3).
- Disconnect BCM 32-pin connector C2. Turn ignition on. Using a test light, backprobe between BCM harness connector C2 terminal D4 (Yellow wire) and ground. If test light illuminates, go to step 4). If test light does not illuminate, go to step 6).
- Repair poor connection or open in Orange wire between BCM connector C1 and instrument panel fuse block. Recheck system operation.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove MALL fuse (10-amp) from instrument panel fuse block. Leave test light connected as specified in step 2). If test light illuminates, go to step 13). If test light does not illuminate, go to next step.
- Turn ignition on. Using a test light, backprobe between BCM harness connector C2 terminal C13 (Pink wire) and ground. If test light illuminates, go to step 7). If test light does not illuminate, go to step 8).
- Repair poor connection or open in Yellow wire between BCM connector C2 and instrument panel fuse block. Recheck system operation.
- Using a test light, backprobe between BCM harness connector C2 terminal C9 (Orange/Black wire) and ground. If test light illuminates, go to step 9). If test light does not illuminate, go to step 10).
- Repair poor connection or open in Pink wire between BCM connector C2 and instrument panel fuse block. Recheck system operation.
- Using a test light, backprobe between BCM harness connector C1 terminal "D" (Black wire) and battery. If test light illuminates, go to step 11). If test light does not illuminate, go to step 12).
- Repair poor connection or open in Orange/Black wire between BCM connector C2 and instrument panel fuse block. Recheck system operation.
- Check for poor connections at BCM. If connections are okay, replace BCM. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION . Recheck system operation.
- Repair poor connection or open in Black wire between BCM connector C1 and splice. Recheck system operation.
- Repair short to battery in Yellow wire between BCM connector C2 and instrument panel fuse block. Recheck system operation.
