Content Theft Deterrent

BCM type 4 features a Content Theft Deterrent System (CTD). The CTD is designed to deter vehicle vandalism and theft. The content theft deterrent system performs the following functions:
^ Flashes the headlamps
^ Sounds the horn
^ Disables the fuel delivery to the engine

The BCM monitors the status of the following components:
^ The doors
^ The lock cylinders
^ The rear compartment lid
^ The shock sensor
^ The power door locks
^ The keyless entry system

The BCM operates the following components, depending on the mode:
^ The headlamps
^ The horn
^ The theft deterrent indicator lamp

The BCM also communicates a fuel enable signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) when the system is disarmed. The BCM also provides feature customization of the following features:
^ The theft deterrent
^ The shock sensor
^ The arm/disarm modes
