Body Control Module Diagnostic System Check

- Retrieve and display DTCs by entering Body Control Module (BCM) using SECURITY indicator diagnostic mode. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES . If diagnostic mode is entered and DTCs are retrieved, go to next step. If diagnostic mode cannot be entered, perform TEST C: CANNOT ENTER BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTICS under SYSTEM TESTS in BODY CONTROL MODULES - CAMARO & FIREBIRD article.
- If both DTCs 12 and 55 are retrieved, go to next step. If DTCs 12 and 55 are not retrieved, perform TEST C: CANNOT ENTER BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTICS under SYSTEM TESTS .
- If both DTCs 25 and 35 are not retrieved, go to next step. If both DTCs 25 and 35 are retrieved, go to step 5.
- If DTC 35 is retrieved with DTC 25, go to next step. If DTC 35 is retrieved without DTC 25, see DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS .
- If any DTCs are retrieved other than DTC 12, 25 and/or 35 and 55, perform appropriate test in accordance with DTC retrieved. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS . If no DTCs are retrieved other than DTC 12, 25/35 and 55, perform diagnostic system check for malfunctioning system.
