Light Emitting Diode (LED) is controlled by Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC), using Class 2 data from Body Control Module (BCM). As a check, LED illuminates briefly when key is turned to run, until engine starts. If LED flashes, system has entered a tamper mode. If LED stays on while driving, system malfunction exists and vehicle will not be protected by security system. A system related DTC may be stored.
