Installation Procedure

Install the bulb if necessary.
Install the lamp socket to the base plate.

Connect the electrical connector to the side rail lamp.
If necessary, install the service loop to the glue using foam tape.

Align the lamp base plate to the plastic retainers.

Position the assist handle to the base plate and the plastic retainers.

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
Install the screws to the assist handle.
Tighten

Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
Close the assist handle covers by pressing the covers into place until fully seated.
