Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the fender to the vehicle.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the bolts to the fender at the front compartment side rail.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 Ib in).

  3. Install the bolts to the fender at the rocker panel.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the fender to rocker panel bolts to 6 N.m (53 Ib in).

  4. Install the bolts to the fender at the door hinge pillar.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 Ib in).

  5. Install the bolts to the fender at the lower engine compartment side rail.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 8 N.m (70 Ib in).

  6. Install the washer solvent container to the right fender. Refer to WASHER SOLVENT CONTAINER REPLACEMENT in Wipers/Washer Systems.
  7. Install the front fender liner. Refer to FRONT FENDER LINER REPLACEMENT  .
  8. Install the hood hinge. Refer to HOOD HINGE REPLACEMENT  .
  9. Install the hood. Refer to HOOD REPLACEMENT  .
  10. Remove the protective tape.
