Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2002 GMC Yukon XL, 2002 GMC Yukon, 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Connect the electrical connectors to the HVAC control module.
- Install the HVAC control module into the instrument panel.
- Install the screws to the HVAC control module.
Tighten: Tighten the screws to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).
- Install the accessory switch to the instrument panel. Refer to ACCESSORY SWITCH REPLACEMENT .
- Install the instrument panel accessory trim plate. Refer to BEZEL REPLACEMENT - IP CLUSTER .
NOTE:
Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
