The Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) consists of Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) gauge, engine oil pressure gauge, fuel gauge, message center, odometer, speedometer, tachometer, transmission fluid temperature gauge (if equipped) and voltmeter. Indicators include ABS warning, air bag warning, BRAKE warning, CRUISE, high beam, ABS, CHECK GAUGES, parking brake, PRND321, seat belt, SERVICE ENGINE SOON, turn signal, REDUCED ENGINE POWER and SECURITY. See Fig 1 . Certain instrument panel cluster (IPC) features are tested when ignition is turned on in order to verify the features are working properly. The following illuminate briefly or flash upon key up:
- ABS Indicator.
- AIR BAG Indicator.
- BRAKE Indicator.
- Charge Indicator.
- CHECK gauges Indicator.
- FASTEN SAFETY BELT indicator illuminates for 20 seconds followed by 55 seconds of flashing when driver's seatbelt is unfastened.
- SECURITY Indicator.
- SERVICE ENGINE SOON Indicator Remains On Until The Engine Is Started.
