Fuel Sender Assembly: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Sunfire and 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire and personal injury that may result from a fuel leak, always replace the fuel sender assembly gasket when reinstalling the fuel sender assembly.
NOTE: Fuel level sensor and fuel tank pressure sensor are removed as an assembly with the fuel sender assembly which also includes the fuel pump and fuel strainer. When installing fuel sender assembly, DO NOT fold or twist strainer. This will restrict fuel flow.
NOTE: Numbers in parenthesis correspond to numbered components in referenced illustration.
