Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora and 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION: Refer to SIR HANDLING CAUTION in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING SYSTEM in SIR.
  2. Remove the fasteners securing the seat cushion to the adjuster track. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Front  .
  3. Lift the front of the seat cushion up in order to gain access to the memory seat module.
    CAUTION: Note the correct routing of the electrical wiring. Failure to reinstall the wiring properly could result in damage to the wiring.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the memory seat module.
  5. Remove the fasteners securing the memory seat module to the seat cushion frame.

  6. Remove the memory seat module from the bottom of the seat cushion.
