Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2002 GMC Yukon XL, 2002 GMC Yukon, 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System

  3. Reposition the inlet hose clamp from the radiator.
  4. Remove the inlet hose from the radiator.
  5. Reposition the outlet hose clamp from the radiator.
  6. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the radiator.
  7. Remove the lower fan shroud. Refer to FAN SHROUD REPLACEMENT - Lower .

  9. Reposition the radiator vent inlet hose clamp from the radiator.
  10. Remove the vent inlet hose from the radiator.
  11. Remove the engine oil cooler lines from the radiator. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement (2WD)  or Engine Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement (4WD) .
  12. Remove the transmission oil cooler lines from the radiator. Refer to TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER LINES .

  14. Remove the radiator bolts.
  15. Remove the radiator from the vehicle.
