Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE in General Information.
  2. Remove the front fender lower cladding.
  3. Remove the rocker panel molding. Refer to MOLDING REPLACEMENT - ROCKER PANEL (XTREME)  or MOLDING REPLACEMENT - ROCKER PANEL (BLAZER)  or MOLDING REPLACEMENT - ROCKER PANEL (JIMMY) .
  4. Drill out the rivets using a inch drill bit.
  5. Remove the retaining plate.
