Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector (2).
  2. Fig 1: EVAP Canister Purge Solenoid Valve & MAP Sensor

    NOTE: Do not rotate or pry on the MAP sensor when removing. Damage to the MAP sensor or the intake manifold may result.
  3. Using a slight rocking motion, while pulling straight up, remove the MAP sensor.
  4. Fig 2: View Of MAP Sensor

  5. Inspect the MAP sensor seal for damage, replace the seal, if necessary.
