Removal & Installation

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip and disconnect front end discriminating sensor harness connector. See Fig 1. Remove front end discriminating sensor mounting bolt. Remove front end discriminating sensor.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure directional arrow on front end discriminating sensor is pointing towards front of vehicle. Tighten front end discriminating sensor mounting bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system.
