Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Connect the coaxial cable connector to the radio.
- Connect the electrical/audio connectors to the radio.
- Install the radio to the I/P.
Important: If the radio locator tab is difficult to align to the I/P locator opening, pull the radio toward you and reposition the antenna cable.
- Align the radio control locator tab to the I/P locator hole while carefully pressing the radio into the I/P until fully seated.
- Install the radio screws.
Tighten
Tighten the radio screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).
- Install the I/P accessory trim plate. Refer to TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT -- INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) ACCESSORY (AZTEK) , TRIM PLATE BEZEL REPLACEMENT -- INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTER (AZTEK) or TRIM PLATE BEZEL REPLACEMENT -- INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTER (RENDEZVOUS) .
- Perform the radio set-up procedure. Refer to RADIO SETUP .
