Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Connect the coaxial cable connector to the radio.
  2. Connect the electrical/audio connectors to the radio.
  3. Install the radio to the I/P.

    Important:  If the radio locator tab is difficult to align to the I/P locator opening, pull the radio toward you and reposition the antenna cable.

  4. Align the radio control locator tab to the I/P locator hole while carefully pressing the radio into the I/P until fully seated.

  5. Install the radio screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the radio screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  6. Install the I/P accessory trim plate. Refer to TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT -- INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) ACCESSORY (AZTEK) , TRIM PLATE BEZEL REPLACEMENT -- INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTER (AZTEK) or TRIM PLATE BEZEL REPLACEMENT -- INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTER (RENDEZVOUS) .
  7. Perform the radio set-up procedure. Refer to RADIO SETUP  .
