Shift Control Assembly: Removal

  1. Remove the horseshoe clip (1) from front of shift control knob, and remove knob. See Figure . Remove the floor console trim plate. See FLOOR CONSOLE TRIM PLATE  .
  2. Remove the console wiring harness and the console shift control wiring harness. See Figure .
  3. Remove the range selector cable from the ball studs on the shift control assembly and set aside.
  4. Remove the console shift control nuts and the console shift control. See Figure .
