Ignition Control Module: Installation

  1. Install ignition coil(s) onto ignition control module. Tighten ignition coil retaining bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install ignition control module/coil assembly onto engine. See Figure.
  2. Tighten ignition control module/coil assembly mounting bolts to specification. Reconnect spark plug wires and ignition control module harness connectors. Lower vehicle. Connect negative battery cable and tighten negative battery cable-to-battery bolt to specification.


To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten ignition control module retaining screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
