Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE .
- Remove the grille. Refer to GRILLE REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the headlamps. Refer to HEADLAMP REPLACEMENT - SEALED BEAM .
- Remove the hood latch cover. Refer to Hood Latch Cover Replacement .
- Remove the hood latch. Refer to Hood Latch Replacement .
- Remove the auxiliary engine cooler, if equipped. Refer to ENGINE OIL COOLER REPLACEMENT - AUXILIARY .
- Remove the auxiliary transmission cooler, if equipped.
- Remove the air baffle from the radiator support, if equipped. Refer to Air Intake Baffle Replacement - Radiator .
- Remove the coolant recovery tank or the surge tank. Refer to SURGE TANK REPLACEMENT or to COOLANT RECOVERY RESERVOIR REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the air cleaner assembly. For the 6.5L engine, refer to AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY .
- Remove the air conditioning condenser from the radiator support (2). Refer to CONDENSER .
- Remove the radiator from the radiator support (1). Refer to RADIATOR REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the forward lamp harness from the radiator support (1).
- Remove the bolts (3) retaining the radiator support (1) to the vehicle.
- Remove the radiator support (1) from the vehicle.
