Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Aztek and 2004 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Connect the coaxial cable connector to the radio.

  3. Connect the electrical/audio connectors to the radio.
    IMPORTANT: If the radio locator tab is difficult to align to the I/P locator opening, pull the radio toward you and reposition the antenna cable.
  4. Install the radio to the I/P.

    Align the radio control locator tab to the I/P locator hole while carefully pressing the radio into the I/P until fully seated.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Install the radio screws.

    Tighten:  Tighten the radio screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  6. Install the I/P accessory trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory (Aztek) or to Trim Plate Bezel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster (Aztek) or Trim Plate Bezel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster (Rendezvous) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  7. Perform the radio set-up procedure. Refer to Radio Setup .
